The staff always have time for a word when we go in and are cheerful and positive in their approach. I feel that the fact it’s privately owned goes a long way towards making this place so special – it’s old-fashioned in the nicest possible way.

Mum is treated with the utmost respect and dignity. The whole staff team are so sensitive and supportive of Mum (and the family), and we enjoy good relationships with them all. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them.

We are so pleased we found The Old Rectory – a comfortable and caring place, a place where we are confident our mother is happy and well looked after. As she says “It’s not home but it is the next best thing”. What more can we say?

The friend I visit left the hospital last March in a very poor state after suffering a stroke, the staff are not only very efficient but very caring, she is now walking again and almost back to how she was before the stroke, she is 93 so it wasn’t easy. I would recommend the home to everyone.”

The level of care and consideration is of the highest level. The staff are excellent, the place is clean with overnight laundry service, excellent personal care, good food, free hairdressing, trips out by minibus. Highly recommended.

A very well respected nursing home. My mother has been here for two years now and her family are very pleased as to how she has been cared for. She has settled down very well and has even put on weight. It is like a home from home.

There is always a full programme of activities going on in the home and Mum is regularly ‘pampered’! The food is excellent and level of choice is amazing. We are so thankful to have found such a wonderful place for her to live in. The quality of care and attention she receives is exceptional.
